Children's absence from care

These last few weeks have been somewhat challenging for all staff at all OSCAR locations. First and foremost if a parent/caregiver calls their respective school to note a child's absence, please know that the schools don't notify OSCAR of this. It is duly the parent or caregiver that is responsible to let us know.

So much time is taken to search for children and then to find that they are unwell, at the dentist, sent home from school or merely picked up or dropped to school by family.

PLEASE do make every effort to ensure that we are notified of absences. A text message is all that is needed and happy to received these myself 021 0274 6031
